Titanium White

PW6 – Opaque

Titanium white is today the most widely used white in oil painting. With exceptional opacity and very high covering power, it provides a pure, cool, and brilliant white. It is ideal for creating luminous mixtures, sharp highlights, or strong light effects.

Its creamy texture allows for easy application in both impasto and thin layers. Lightfast, stable over time, and non-toxic, titanium white is an essential part of the modern palette. Antique White is a soft, warm cream white created through a subtle blend of zinc white, cadmium yellow, and a touch of ultramarine blue. Less bright than a pure white, it allows for more natural blends—especially for skin tones, soft lighting, and warm atmospheres.
