Chrome Oxide Green is a mineral pigment valued for its stability and muted tone, making it ideal for landscapes and natural subjects. With its deep, slightly neutral green hue, it seamlessly integrates into the palettes of watercolor artists seeking balanced and realistic shades.
Thanks to its opacity, it provides excellent coverage and creates interesting textural effects, particularly in dry techniques or layering. It is perfect for depicting dense foliage, undergrowth, or aged patinas on antique objects.
In mixtures, it pairs harmoniously with earth tones such as burnt sienna or raw umber to achieve more organic greens. Combined with ultramarine blue, it produces deep, slightly cool greens, ideal for mountainous landscapes or shaded vegetation. For warmer tones, it can be softened with a touch of yellow ochre or saffron yellow.
Its excellent lightfastness and durability make it a preferred pigment for long-lasting artworks.

I really care about who my colors are for. If I do this job it is above all not to satisfy customers or gain market share but to satisfy artists. So I hope that they can be seduced by the power of the colors and their brightness.
