English Red blends wonderfully with various pigments. When combined with yellow shades like Light Isaro Yellow or Cadmium Yellows, it creates perfect oranges for landscapes or flesh tones when well diluted. Mixing it with Cobalt Blue or Ultramarine results in rich brown tones, ideal for shadows or autumnal atmospheres.
English Red originates from the pigments used in England during the 17th century. Inspired by the famous red earths of Italy, this synthetic pigment was quickly adopted for its unparalleled tinting strength.
