Cadmium Yellow Light: A Must-Have Hue
The cadmium yellow light is an essential tone in watercolor, synonymous with brightness and intensity. Derived from the cadmium pigment, discovered in the early 19th century, this vivid yellow quickly won the favor of artists for its rich chromatic depth. It boasts excellent permanence and outstanding lightfastness.
Ideal for illuminating your floral compositions, this pigment also offers great versatility when mixed. When paired with ultramarine blue, it creates vibrant, natural greens, perfect for landscapes. Mixed with cadmium red or scarlet red, it gives rise to warm, intense oranges. For softer tones, combine it with raw sienna to achieve subtle earthy yellows.
This shade contains cadmium, but its use in watercolor is safe under normal conditions (do not ingest).

I really care about who my colors are for. If I do this job it is above all not to satisfy customers or gain market share but to satisfy artists. So I hope that they can be seduced by the power of the colors and their brightness.
